What is Blackhead & Whitehead ?
Do you know what is blackheads and whiteheads? Well, both are non-inflammatory forms of acne and caused by clogged pores often found on your back, shoulders and face. Irritating, isn’t it?
Whiteheads are known as Closed Comedones. The follicles beneath your skin have a very small opening at your skin surface and if it is filled with oils, dirt, dead skin cells, air is unable to enter the follicle. The clogged pore inside will not undergo a chemical reaction. Hence, it stays white in color.
If you can see the black dots on your nose, that is Blackheads, also called Open Comedones. When you have blackheads, these large pores become clogged. When the clogged pore is oxidized and turns it into black color.
